Christina Petito's Background

I am a passionate individual who guides others towards inner healing allowing them to achieve their greatest potential. I myself am devoted to personal development and transformation of the Self, and our collective consciousness. I learn about healing from the inside out; I am the living essence of my practice in that I work on being a better version of me each day. Part of my personal "why” is my intuitive connection with others and my ability to provide support and guidance in their healing process. This is a personal process and I know firsthand what it is like to go through it. The other part is years of education and professional experience.

I feel most fulfilled when my clients have breakthroughs and find joy & peace through their self - discovery.

I have my Masters in Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Additionally, I have my NYS Advanced CASAC. The combination of my education and life experience affords me a well – balanced approach when working with others, supportively guiding them during their journey of evolution, self-discovery, and illumination.

My work history is diverse and expansive. I began work in the human service field as a direct care aide, working with individuals with coexisting diagnoses. This job was the first of many that taught me how to meet people where they were in life. I worked my way up from the lowest level position to that of Director, and in between fulfilling roles such as, Case Manager, Care Coordination, Counselor, Coach, Educator, and more. Each position required a new unique set of skills to best serve my clients and with each experience, I developed resilience, compassion, and a deeper desire to serve others. The experience of non-profit service in my community is what inspired me to embrace my natural gifts and create Luminous Healing, LLC.

One of the most rewarding positions in my career to date was working as a Counselor and administrator of a program that treated individuals diagnosed with SUD (Substance Abuse Disorder). I feel immense satisfaction from the help I was able to provide to clients with SUD and other mental health diagnoses.

Transformation is a journey within that leads one back to their truest essence of being and those that put energy into the inner work are lead to higher consciousness and create more safety and security in the world for all. The healing we do in ourselves is one of the most impactful ways we can be of service.
